small packages
Blessings often come in small packages. Blink, fret too much, or get distracted by the hurry of life and you are likely to miss these little bits of encouragement.
An example. This morning, as I was having coffee and reading at my desk, a little Anna's Hummingbird made several trips to the feeder outside my window. What a marvel! This tiny, energetic, and fearless little bird that glitters like a jewel. Brilliantly colored, iridescent green feathers, with rose pink around the throat. Every detail is truly something at which to marvel. Imagine, taking that beauty and grace for granted.
Little moments like this occur -- even on our most difficult days. Pay attention. Accept the small wins. Be grateful for the present.
